great honor for the boss of the company that I work for. He had been elected among the top 50 of this years “digital 50″ by Hollywood Reporter. He ranks number 36, one rank ahead of Google CEO Schmidt! .-) link

I didnt write much recently, simply too much work it seems. For nearly two months I am staying in Toronto at the moment, to do motion capture on set The Inredible Hulk. It has been very interesting and been the first time for me to be really on set, and being this close to the actual film crew, attending film crew parties etc and just seeing all this so up close. while it’s a great experience it also means long work hours, 12h+ and that makes you tired .-) but overall it’s great to see and I have a few more stories to tell now, but I rather dont post them online.-)
I am sorry I haven’t been writing recently. Quite a few things happened. My roommate got enganged, the other one quit his job and is going back to Canada.
I started learning about motion captured which I am excited about. You put people into dotted suits and record their motion and transfer it onto characters. We now have a system at our studio and plan to use it quite a bit.

Another night when we went we saw Jessica Alba in the street, she just stepped in front of us out of her car to get into a restaurant. One paparazzi was following her which she reacted to with annoyed face.
It was announced that Liv Tyler will play the female lead role in The Incredible Hulk.
Edward Norton was announced as the lead actor for “The Incredible Hulk”, a movie I have been working on for the past months.
Two sort of unrelated stories. One is that the H-1b visa cap has apparently been reached on its first day! which is insane. Read here . Which means already no more work visas will be available for the USA starting in October 2007. So the first possible start date would be October 2008. Alternatives are J-1, O-1, L-1, but the H-1b is the most regular one.
I recently got an offer for a Credit Card. It would be with a limit for 200 dollars. yes, just 200. The annual cost would be 80 dollars and need an installement fee of 70 dollars. Here goes my respect for the credit card company called “Visa”.
For those who have a hard time understanding what I actually do, this might help a bit, here an interview with the founder of the company I work for.
A typical thing here is you won’t get in any club or bar without showing your id, no matter if you look 20 or 50. Funny things can happen if a person from abroad is visiting and they dont have an American id, which might leave some bouncers puzzled. I know that Japanese friends tricked them and getting in by showing an id with Japanese language, however recently when a Swiss friend visited the bouncer rejected the id and asked for a passport. This let us to request to see a guy higher up in the hierarchy. After two more guys couldnt deal with it finally the manager had to come down to approve it, which made them look stupid.
Last night I met filmstart Bai Ling at a bar. I met her by asking in the most stupid way, if she actually was Bai Ling .-) She was very nice and down to earth, but a partygirl for sure, and she is very small. That is something I like about here, is that it’s not uncommon at all to meet all sorts of people from the enterainment industry and they are usally easy to talk to.
